为促进院所科研发展，加强学术交流，院所于12月24日召开了2008年学术年会。赵平院所长发表讲话对2008年院所学术进展进行了回顾和总结，同时指出：建立国家癌症中心，是一个重大机遇和挑战，要坚持和深化医、教、研、防四位一体的发展思路，推动院所科研工作进一步发展。本次年会力求反映院所2008年学术研究的进展，特别邀请孙燕院士、冷希圣、顾晋、张宏冰、柯杨教授及院所基础和临床领域共38位专家出席会议，并组成评审委员会，根据论文的科学性、研究价值及讲演者演讲技巧、言语表达等综合水平进行评分，最终确定了一等奖论文2篇、二等奖论文7篇、三等奖论文11篇，优秀论文奖28篇。病因及癌变研究室袁劲松的论文“Overexpression of OLC1, cigarette smoke, and human lung tumorigenesis”( J NATL CANCER I, 2008, 100(22): 1592-1605)和放射治疗科李晔雄的论文“Clinical features and treatment outcome of nasal-type NK/T-cell lymphoma of Waldeyer Ring” (BLOOD, 2008, 112(8):3057-3064)获得本年度发表论文影响因子最高奖。分子肿瘤学国家重点实验室洪媛的论文“The role of P53 and MDM2 polymorphisms in the risk of esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma”（ CANCER RES, 2005, 65(20):9582-9587）和放射治疗科李晔雄的论文“Radiotherapy as primary-treatment for stage IE and IIE nasal Natural Killer/T-cell lymphoma”( J CLIN ONCOL, 2006 , 24(1): 181-189)在本年度分别被引17次和6次，获得本年度论文被引频次最高奖。优秀科室奖由病因及癌变研究室和腹部外科获得。
