Mission Statement 
To develop the skills and techniques of evidence based Medicine
(EBM) among Chinese healthcare professionals by establishing an
internationally recognized EBM Center for Training and Clinical
Research which will promote the assessment and implementation of
high quality, cost-effective healthcare for Chinese people.
Participating Institutions
The Center will coordinate the expertise and resources of four institutes
which are members of the Chinese Academy of Medical Science:
- Peking Union Medical College
- Peking Union Medical College Hospital
- Cancer Institute/Hospital
- Fu Wai Heart Hospital
Core Faculty 
A distinguished Core Faculty (Faculty Scholars) will be assembled
and will work with a group of internationally recognized experts
in EBM and Healthcare policy. Core Faculty member will be nominated
from each the three participating hospitals and will be approved
by the steering Committee.
The Core Faculty will be required to develop and teach structured
courses and informal seminars for program trainees. In addition,
a monthly Journal Club will be initiated. Faculty, trainees and
local healthcare professionals interested in developing their clinical
research and analysis skills may participate in the educational
activities of the center.
Faculty will be required to assist in recruitment and training
as well as in development of a data analysis and clinical research
consultation service for the Center. Faculty will be encouraged
to develop new training courses and clinical research collaborations,
both within China and internationally.

Curriculum
The curriculum of the EBM Center for Training and Clinical Research
will be high quality, dynamic and problem focused. It will develop
training modules, which optimize its ability to access information
globally. It will include seminars, discussion groups and monthly
Journal Club as well as a formalized mentoring relationship between
trainees and faculty.
